Letters being tested

Words and letters are counted in Hebrew reading order using the traditional Masoretic consonantal text. Vowel points, cantillation marks, spaces, and punctuation are excluded. Final tsadi (ץ) has the same traditional numerical value, 90, as standard tsadi (צ).

Why this pattern matters

This pattern examines both boundaries of the two words that form the outer limits of the seven-word verse. It combines the initial letters tested in Pattern 16 with the final letters tested in Pattern 17.

Pattern 18 is a derived combination of Patterns 16 and 17, not an independent test. Because their totals are 7 and 490, both already divisible by 7, their combined total must also be divisible by 7.

How this pattern is measured

Identify the first and last Hebrew words, take the initial and final letter of each, assign their traditional Hebrew numerical values, and add the four values. The pattern is satisfied if the combined total is evenly divisible by 7.

The four boundary-letter values total 497, so they satisfy the defined criterion for Pattern 18.

Within the theory’s theological interpretation, the factor 7 is associated with divine perfection.
