The last seven letters of Genesis 1:1 have a Hebrew alphabet-position total of 73 and a traditional Hebrew value of 703 = 37 × 19. In addition, the alphabet-position total of all 28 letters except the opening letter is 296 = 37 × 8.

Why this pattern matters

The last seven letters are exactly the final two words of Genesis 1:1. Their two standard Hebrew totals connect them with the prime pair 37 and 73:

Traditional-value total: 703 = 37 × 19

A related calculation using all but the opening letter produces another multiple of 37: 296 = 37 × 8.
