Why this pattern matters

This pattern begins with four consecutive words from Genesis 1:1 and applies the same Hebrew alphabet-position calculation to each. Their totals are concatenated without rearrangement.

The next seven digits in π reproduce three Genesis-related numbers: 111, the difference between the values of the last two words; 67, the reverse of the first word’s position sum; and 73, the reverse prime pair of 37.

How this pattern is measured

The Hebrew alphabet-position sums of the first four words are:
