Letters being tested

Words and letters are counted in Hebrew reading order using the traditional Masoretic consonantal text. Vowel points, cantillation marks, spaces, and punctuation are excluded. Final mem (ם) and final tsadi (ץ) retain the traditional values 40 and 90.

Why this pattern matters

Pattern 20 applies one consistent selection rule to every word in the verse: take each word’s initial and final letter. It combines the two outer words examined in Pattern 18 with the five interior words examined in Pattern 19.

Pattern 20 is a derived combination of Patterns 18 and 19, not an independent test. Because their totals are 497 and 896, both already divisible by 7, their combined total must also be divisible by 7.

How this pattern is measured

For each of the seven Hebrew words, identify its initial and final letter in Hebrew reading order. Assign the traditional Hebrew numerical value of each selected letter and add all fourteen values. The pattern is satisfied if the total is evenly divisible by 7.

Result for Genesis 1:1

The fourteen selected boundary-letter values total 1393, so they satisfy the defined criterion for Pattern 20.

Within the theory’s theological interpretation, the factor 7 is associated with divine perfection.
