“In the beginning God”

Why this pattern matters

Pattern 22 examines the same consecutive three-word opening used in Pattern 21, but applies a different test. Instead of adding every alphabet-position value, this pattern selects only the letters whose alphabet-position values are odd.

How this pattern is measured

Each Hebrew letter is assigned its position in the 22-letter Hebrew alphabet. Only the odd alphabet-position values in the first three words are included:

Result for Genesis 1:1

Odd alphabet-position total:

22 + 1 + 19 = 42
42 ÷ 7 = 6
