For each of the 28 letters in Genesis 1:1, its traditional numerical value is multiplied by its alphabet-position value. The letter’s position within its word is then added to that product. The 28 resulting values total 55,041, which is evenly divisible by 7.
Pattern 29 combines three properties of every letter: its traditional numerical value, its position in the Hebrew alphabet, and its position within its word. Changing a letter or moving it to another position can change the resulting calculation.
The calculation is performed separately for every letter. For example, the first word, בראשית, produces the following results:
