Pattern 30: Position-Weighted Letter Values Total 9,667

Pattern Statement

For each of the 28 letters in Genesis 1:1, its traditional numerical value and alphabet-position value are added together. That sum is then multiplied by the letter’s position within its word. The 28 resulting values total 9,667, which is evenly divisible by 7.

Formula for each letter:

Position within the word ×
(Traditional numerical value + Alphabet-position value)

Why this pattern matters

Pattern 30 combines the same three letter properties used in Pattern 29, but arranges them differently. In Pattern 30, the two Hebrew values are added first, and their sum is then weighted by the letter’s position within its word.

How this pattern is measured

The calculation is performed separately for every letter. For example, the first word, בראשית, produces the following results:

The same calculation is then applied to the remaining 22 letters.

Result for Genesis 1:1

Totals for the seven words:

4,366 + 450 + 461 + 846 + 1,156 + 1,282 + 1,106

Grand total:
9,667

9,667 ÷ 7 = 1,381
