Pattern 42: Word 3 Is Flanked by Two Words Valued at 23

Why this pattern matters

Word 3 occupies the central position of this three-word arrangement, and the words immediately before and after it both have an alphabet-position total of 23. This produces the symmetrical sequence 23–41–23. Within this theory, 23 is associated with DNA because a typical human cell contains 23 chromosome pairs.

How this pattern is measured

Assign each Hebrew letter its position in the 22-letter Hebrew alphabet and add the positions within each word. Then examine words 2, 3, and 4 in their verse order.

Words 2 and 4 immediately flank word 3, and both have an alphabet-position total of exactly 23.

Relationship to Pattern 41: Pattern 41 included words 2 and 4 among the subsets divisible by 23. Pattern 42 examines the positional symmetry of those same two word totals. It is therefore a related structural observation, not an independent numerical event.

Statistical caution

This pattern uses the same two word totals already counted in Pattern 41 and should not be assigned a separate probability or multiplied into a cumulative probability. Determining how often comparable seven-word passages contain this arrangement would require a defined control test.
