The calculation uses the traditional Masoretic Hebrew consonantal text shown above. Vowel points, cantillation marks, spaces, and punctuation are not counted as letters.
This pattern examines Hebrew words 4 and 5: the middle word of the seven-word verse and the word that follows it. It forms the corresponding adjacent pair on the other side of the middle word from Pattern 7.
Count the letters in the middle word, word 4, and in the following word, word 5, then add the two counts together. The pattern is satisfied if the combined total is evenly divisible by 7.
Hebrew words 4 and 5 contain 7 letters combined, so they satisfy the defined criterion for Pattern 8.
Within the theory’s theological interpretation, the number 7 is associated with divine perfection.
A combined probability is not assigned here because these early patterns reuse overlapping word and letter counts and are therefore not fully independent. Their significance is evaluated through the corpus and randomized control tests described elsewhere on this site.
