Pattern 79 Genesis 1:1 Offsets in π, e, and φ Favor 37 and 73

Why this pattern matters

The constants π, e, and φ are mathematically unrelated to the Hebrew language. In this experiment, however, Hebrew numeric values and alphabet positions from Genesis 1:1 are used to select digits from each constant.

The resulting sequences are analyzed using the same predefined procedure. Among the 96 tests involving π, e, and φ, 24 stabilized on 37, 73, or a multiple represented within the tested range, while none stabilized on the secular comparison values 25 or 52.

The importance of the result is the consistent direction of the comparison across all three constants:

π: 6–0  e: 10–0  φ: 8–0

How this pattern is measured

For each letter of Genesis 1:1, the program uses either its traditional Hebrew numerical value or its Hebrew alphabet position as an offset into the digits of π, e, or φ. This creates a new digit sequence.

The program then examines progressively longer prefixes of that sequence. For every prefix, it tests candidate divisors from 1 through 99 and identifies the divisor having the greatest weighted frequency of exact divisibility.

Each constant is tested under 32 variations formed from five binary choices:

1. traditional value or alphabet position;
2. direct or cumulative offsets;
3. retain or remove word spaces;
4. shifted or unshifted digit indexing; and
5. forward or reversed Genesis 1:1.

The final divisor is classified as a 37/73 result when it is 37, 73, or a multiple of one of those numbers within the tested range. The same procedure checks the comparison values 25 and 52.

Pattern 79 can be reproduced with genpiephi.java, math.java, and digit files for π, e, and φ. The supplied output.txt records the results of the program using 5,000 iterations for each method.

Probability note

The observed result is 24 qualifying 37/73 outcomes and no 25/52 outcomes across 96 constant-based methods. Because these methods are related rather than statistically independent, no independent probability is assigned on this page. Random-sentence and random-offset control testing is required to measure the empirical rarity of the combined result.
